On the 5th of February, we have received a report from a local villager that there is a dog with an open wound inside the Bud dist Temple require medical assistance. When we arrived at the scene, there they are 2 massive Mastiff hiding behind the entrance – “Power” & Livi. From observation, it’s not difficult to realize Power’s right rear is seriously injuried but unfortunately the cause is unclear. We have arranged the Vet on site to make sure he gets immediate treatment & inspection. Taking into account there are only “senior priests” staying in the temple therefore it may be too much of an asking to ensure “Power” get sufficient medical care from them. Our volunteer worker has decided to bring him back to the Centre for intensive day & night care on the open wound such as cleaning & apply medicine to speed up the wound to heal. Now he lives up to his name, becoming a real strong lad. Power obviously belongs to the large breed category and require sufficient living area to move around therefore if you are thinking about adopting him, please think twice whether if you can provide him with a reasonable large area for life.
